Quarterly Priority Objective is a list of 3 to 7 most important things that your company must get done in the next 90 days, to get closer to achieve your 1-year-plan.

On Simplamo, you can find it as the term "GOAL".

Step 1: Select Team

Select the team that needs to create an Objective, in case of creating a Company level Objective, let choose "Leadership team".

To Continue, select the "Rocks" feature on the horizontal toolbar.

Step 2: Create Objectives

Select "Create Rocks" to create a new objective and fill in the following details:

  • Objective "Title"

  • Select the "Type" according to the Company - Department - Individual level.

  • Choose which higher-level Objective this one supports from the list

  • Select the "Owner" corresponding to the role on the Accountability Chart.

  • In the "Description" section, answer the questions to clarify the importance of the objective and its end result:

    • Why is this important?
    • Why is this urgent?
    • What's the desired outcome?
  • Choose the current business "Session"

  • You can also adjust the due date and Objective owner Group under the "Other options" section.

  • Finally, click "Create New".

Step 3: Create Milestones

After successfully creating an objective, you need to set up milestones to measure the progress of its execution by answering the question "What steps need to be completed to achieve the objective?"

To create milestones, follow these steps:

  • Click "Create Milestone"

  • Enter the "Title" of the milestone

  • Choose the "Milestone Type". There are three types of milestones you can consider based on your needs:

    • Measured Milestone: These are quantifiable milestones with specific targets in terms of numbers/percentages or specific amounts of money, with an initial and a target value.
    • Tracked Milestone: These are milestones that follow steps in your workflow. They are planned clearly and generally.
    • Done/Non-Done Milestone: This type evaluates tasks as either "Completed" or "Not Completed" in a qualitative manner.
