How is Alignment of Goals Formed?​

Linkage typically begins with the company's strategy. The company's strategy in Simplamo will consist of 2 components:

  • 10-year Vision & Mission
  • 3-year Goals (How will your company look like after 3 years?)

After clearly defining the above 2 components, you will have a basis for establishing the 1-Year Plan, 90-Day Goals, as well as key metrics/health indicators to support execution according to the strategy and adhere to the corporate Vision.

Linking goals to strategy helps ensure alignment and guidance for organizational activities, creating consistency and uniformity between goals and the organization's overall direction.

How to Implement:

Step 1: Clearly identify which Goals support the company's Strategy, and select the Strategy item.

Step 2: Select which Strategy this Goal will support.

Step 3: Click "Save" after each operation on the system.

Note: You need to create the Strategy before proceeding with linking. See detailed instructions HERE!

This linkage is implemented in a top-down decomposition manner: From Company-Level 1-Year Goal → Company-Level 90-Day Goal → Department/Division-Level 90-Day Goal → Individual-Level 90-Day Goal.

Example:

  • Cmpany sets the Annual Goal: Expand the Brand to the International Market

    • Company-Level 90-Day Goal: Complete an International-Standard English Website

      • Marketing Department Goal: Build a brand promotion campaign for the international market

Thus, the Marketing Department Goal is created to support the Company-Level 90-Day Goal, and the Company-Level 90-Day Goal will link to support the Annual Goal.

This helps the CEO and department heads clearly identify important goals to be implemented, avoiding the creation of too many goals that do not serve the company's development process.

How to Implement:

Step 1: Clearly identify which 90-Day Goal supports the Company-Level Annual Goal.

Step 2: Click "Supports Goal," select the correct Year and the Goal being supported.

Perform the same operation for Linking Department/Division or Individual-Level 90-Day Goals to Company-Level 90-Day Goals.

Tracking and Evaluation​

When reviewing 90-Day Goals on Simplamo, you can also track the linked goals by enabling the "Update Linked Goals" feature.

The system has automatically updated the progress if the progress of the linked goals changes.
