Align Rocks & Vision
How is Alignment of Goals Formed?
Common alignment starts with the company's strategy. The strategy in Simplamo consists of 2 components:
- 10-year Vision & Mission
- 3-year Goals (How will your company look like in 3 years?)
Once these two components are clearly defined, you have the foundation to set the 1-year Plan and prioritize tasks in each quarter. This will then lead to the creation of OKRs & KPIs to support the execution of the strategy and stay aligned with the company's Vision.
What is Goal Alignment?
When talking about aligning goals, it means that if you have identified the top-priority goals for the quarter that need to be achieved for the company level, then when breaking down into each department, you need to link the departmental and individual goals together to collectively support the company's goals.
Example:
Company's annual goal: Expand the company into international markets
Top-priority company goal: Increase sales revenue achieved in the Quarter
Marketing department goal: Build a brand promotion campaign in Q1
→ In this case, the Marketing department goal is generated to support the achievement of both the company-level and company-established annual goals.
Monitoring and Evaluating Goals
While reviewing goals, you can also track the linked goals. Moreover, the system automatically updates progress if there are changes in the progress of the linked goals.
Linking Vision and Goals
This helps CEOs and department heads clearly identify the important goals to pursue, avoiding the creation of too many goals that do not serve the company's developmental process.
