Vision Overview

I. Overview

The "Vision" tool helps you crystallize a concise company vision through 8 questions on 2 pages. It supports leaders in expressing and sharing ideas that were previously only in their minds, allowing every team member to understand:

  • Who are we?
  • What does our business do best?
  • Who is our target customer?
  • What is our dream and How do we achieve it?

III. The 8 Questions

1. What are your core values?

This is a collection of qualities, traits, or principles that are demonstrated by the entire workforce. These factors help shape the organizational culture which include description how each value is manifested.

2. What is your Core Business?

If core values determine "Who we are?" then the Core Business will help you identify "What do we focus on?

It consists of two elements:

  • The reason, the purpose or passion when starting-up the business.
  • The niche - meaning the market where your business serves best.

3. What is your 10-year target?

This is a long-term goal, the big dream of the business. Simply put, "if you know where you want to go, you will have more opportunities to achieve it."

It can be expressed quantitatively or qualitatively.

4. What is your Marketing Strategy?

This section is made up of four key elements to identify your target customers and how to reach them:

1 – Target market: Identify the characteristics of your best customers (who they are, where they are, and how they think)

2 – Three uniques: Three things that make you better than the competitors and why your customers buy your company’s services.

3 - Proven process: A visual of what you do, time and time again to deliver values to your customer over the life of the relationship.

4 – Guarantee: Your guarantee is designed to take away your customer’s biggest fears when it is the time for them to buy.

5. What is your 3-year picture?

This section is where you create a vivid image of exactly what your company will look like, feel like and be like in 3 years. It contains just a handful of numbers:

  • Expected date:
  • Revenue:
  • Profit:
  • Measurable(s):

6. What is your 1-year plan?

This is where we start to take the Vision down to the ground.

The 1-Year-Plan defines your objectives for the year, crystallizes your:

  • Revenue target,
  • Profit target, measurable(s),
  • 3 to 7 goals for the year.

7. What are your Priority Goals for the quarter?

Let's break down the revenue, profit, and performance metrics from the annual plan to the quarter.

Then, identify and fill in 3 to 7 priority goals that the company must accomplish within 90 days to achieve the annual objectives.

8. What are your company’s issues ?

Fill in the table with a list of obstacles that may hinder your business from achieving its vision, or things that can help you get to the vision faster.

IV. Instruction:

Step 1: On the left toolbar, select the Vision Tool.

Step 2: Start entering data on each page by clicking on the pencil icon for each question.

Remember to click "Save" after adding/editing information.

1. Vision Page

Simplamo screen will first display the Vision page. Answer the 5 questions and enter the corresponding data:

  1. Core values
  2. Core Business
  3. 10-year goals
  4. Marketing strategy
  5. 3-year goals

2. Focus Page

Continue by clicking on the Focus page to answer the remaining 3 questions using the pencil icon:

  1. 1-year plan
  2. Priprity goals for the quarter
  3. Long-term issue list

Step 3: After completion, share it with the team by clicking the "Publish" button in the top-right corner.

Enter the "Vision Name" and the "Cascading Vision" that the leadership wants to convey.
