Creating a Core Process

Name the Core Process

After building a set of core business operation processes, to start digitizing them on Simplamo, go to the "Process" feature and select Create core process. In this step, simply enter the process name and then click the "Create" button.

Creating Sub-Processes

For each core process, create main steps by selecting "Create process" and entering the name of the main step.

Assign the owner of the main steps as the person in charge of the specialized work (usually the department head).

For example, the company's HR process has 3 main steps: Recruitment, Onboarding, Contract signing/termination, and Promotion.

In the "Description" section of each main step, make a brief note so that everyone understands the overall role and purpose of the main step (you can attach images or links to this section).

Adding Tasks

Next, select "Add step" to add 1 to 5 sub-steps needed to complete the main step. Or click the pencil icon to edit/add information.

For each sub-step, we list the tasks that need to be performed, also known as the work checklist.

  • In the description section, please explain briefly so that everyone understands the overall meaning and how to perform the task.
  • In the attachment section, please attach any relevant documents and forms.
  • Select the "Owner" as the person who directly performs the task.
  • Click "Save" after each edit or addition of information.s that need to be performed, also known as the work checklist.

To edit any information, you can click the pencil icon in the upper right corner and proceed to adjust the data accordingly.

So, you have basically got a core process.

Do the same for the remaining core processes, and you will have a set of core business operation processes digitized visually on Simplamo.

The operation process set is only truly useful when it helps improve work efficiency.

To achieve operational efficiency, businesses need to continuously perform the cycle of steps: Training - Measurement - Management - Update (as mentioned in the Structure section).

So you have now learned about the Simple Process Tool on Simplamo. Work with your team to establish truly simple and effective core processes for your business.

Good luck.
